Dr Tawanda Collins Muzamwese is an International Consultant who has carried out sustainability
projects audits, training and consultancy in more than 100 businesses drawn from 30 countries
across the world. He has trained over 5000 people in sustainability and SHEQ. Tawanda is the Chief
Sustainability Consultant and Founder of Toxiconsol Consultancy t/a African Sustainability
Consultants.

Dr Tawanda Collins Muzamwese is an International Consultant who has carried out sustainability
projects audits, training and consultancy in more than 100 businesses drawn from 30 countries
across the world. He has trained over 5000 people in sustainability and SHEQ. Tawanda is the Chief
Sustainability Consultant and Founder of Toxiconsol Consultancy t/a African Sustainability
Consultants. His experience spans 17 years working with manufacturing, mining, construction,
security, service, aviation, energy and other associated industries developing ISO Standards. He
holds a PHD from the Universiteit Twente, Netherlands. He also received a Master of Environmental
and Energy Management (Cum Laude/Distinction) from Universiteit Twente, Netherlands and a Bsc
(Hons) Applied Environmental Science (Distinction/First Class) from the University of Zimbabwe. He
is Certified Benefit Cost Analysis – Valuing Life and Health by the Harvard University, School of Public
Health, Boston, Massachusetts, USA and also Certified Sustainable Development in Extractive
Industries by Columbia University, New York, USA. He is a Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 45001/ISO
14001/ISO 9001 certified by DQS and PECB, Canada. He has done consultancy, auditing, training in
Netherlands, Germany, United States of America, China, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique,
Kenya, South Korea, Ghana, Uganda, Israel, Kingdom of Bahrain, Egypt and Tanzania among others.
He consulted for various international organisations at a global stage. In 2022, he received the
Alumni Impact Award from the United States Department of State and in 2023 he received the
Lifetime Impact Award from the United States Embassy in Zimbabwe. He has guided several
companies worldwide to ISO Certification on Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental
Management Systems. He has championed Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) and is the
first Zimbabwean to be certified as a sustainability assurance practitioner based on AA 1000. He has
undertaken various assurance engagements for ESG reports. He is also an entrepreneur with
interests in consultancy, training, agribusiness, construction and publishing.
